The Green Colossus

I got this one from my girlfriend. She bought it on her trip to Hungary, though I was too lazy to research if the figure itself is an actual representation of some Hungarian knightly order.

Technicalities: the figure is 9,4cd tall (being the largest 'miniature' I ever did), made of who-knows-which metal. The colour scheme is green-gold.

I first intended to paint him in my favourite combination - green-black, but I realized that on a figure of these proportions that scheme would be too dark. So I changed colour on trims to gold, and added dark green where I would elsewhere add black.
The painting lasted for a couple of weeks, and during the work I uncovered a few techniques previously unknown to me, which proved to do marvels! I am doing the next one (Monk) completely from scratch using what I learned here, and I look very forward to the results!
